This is how regenerative tourism is built—together.

By Katherine Pivaral

The Nexus tourism team works with our partners in the Colca Valley to support regenerative, sustainable tourism development. On our last visit, we held a series of meetings as part of our Participatory Action Research (PAR) process.

We invited key stakeholders — community leaders, tourism actors, and people committed to sustainable development — to dream, discuss, and co-create concrete project ideas for regenerative tourism in the Colca Valley.

🛠️ These were not training sessions, but collaborative spaces where we worked together to identify and prioritize community-led projects

🌿 The next step is exciting: in the coming months, we’ll see how these ideas come to life, led by the communities themselves.

💬 A huge thank you to everyone who participated and shared their vision.

👀 Stay tuned for updates as these collaborative projects unfold!
