Regenerative Tourism: It’s Not Starting from Scratch, It Builds on What You Already Know

By Beatriz Roldan Martinez

Many times, we think regenerative tourism is something new, complicated, or only learned through courses or books. But the truth is different: regenerative tourism builds on what communities already know, what they already do well, and the local wisdom they have inherited and lived.

🌿 Each culture expresses its wisdom in different ways, and regenerative tourism starts right there: with living culture.

🌱 Your culture, traditions, and your relationship with the land and community are the strongest foundation to build tourism that cares for and regenerates your community.

💡 Regenerative tourism doesn’t come to change everything, but to support and strengthen what already exists, helping what’s good to grow and be shared with visitors.

🤝 We value your experience and want to walk together with you, learning and creating new opportunities that respect our identity and environment.

📣 What traditional practices or knowledge would you like to see valued and strengthened in your community’s tourism? Tell us in the comments!
